We'll be discussing the effects of stress and crying on newborns through toddlers, inspired by our favorite neuroscientist: Dr. Nils Bergman. (You may recognize his name from his innovative research and advocacy for Kangaroo Mother Care for premies.)
*Should you let your baby cry?
*What are the effects of stress and crying? (respiration, brain development, etc.)
*Why do some babies react differently to stress than others?
*Being the best mother you can be--how to take care of yourself while responding to your children's needs.
There will be plenty of time to discuss these and whatever else is on your mind. This might be a great meeting to bring your mom, partner, mother-in-law, or care provider of choice along too!
As always, our meetings are FREE and babies/children are welcome. Hope to see you there:

She will help you learn your own unique constitution and show you ways to maintain health and balance with this knowledge. The Ayurvedic approach to pre and post natal care will also be discussed.
Not sure what Ayurveda is? It is the more than 5000 year old traditional medicine of India, and the oldest continually practiced medicine in the world. Ayurvedic approach treats each individual as a whole person, taking into account unique psychological, emotional, and physical conditions. Ayurveda maintains that by knowing your constitution and working with rhythms and cycles of nature, health and wellbeing can be achieved.
Dawn is a mother of three children, all born at home in water. She has been teaching yoga in the shore area for over a decade and is also a Reiki Master/Teacher. Her passion is maintaining health holistically and educating others of benefits of a holistic lifestyle.
